Meet Your Caregivers: Jessica Richardson — Clinical Supervisor, HDH Family Care

Jessica has been at Harney District Hospital Family Care since 2008. She started as a Medical Assistant, working with multiple primary care providers in the clinic. In 2012, she became a Team Lead. In that role, she took on responsibility for day-to-day work flows, and participated in interviewing, orienting, and training new staff to the department.

During the launch of HDH’s electronic health record, Epic, she volunteered to be a “super user” (someone with extensive knowledge of the software – the “go-to” person for their department). In 2018, she accepted the role of Quality Coordinator, and in spring of this year became the Clinical Supervisor.

Jessica’s dedication to her work is clear.

“This is something that I have always wanted to do. I love working with patients that need extra support and guidance toward better health, and helping them to achieve their health goals in every aspect I can.”

That supportive quality is also something she enjoys about life here in Harney County.

“The thing I like most about living in Harney County is how close our community is, and how people give one another support through the good and bad times.”
