Cancer-Related Needs Assessment Survey relaunched June 1

Cancer-Related Needs Assessment Survey relaunched June 1

In an effort to increase participation, CAN Cancer of Harney County is relaunching its Cancer-Related Needs Assessment Survey on June 1, 2021.

CAN Cancer of Harney County — which is administered through Harney District Hospital’s (HDH’s) Outreach Department — received funding from the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Knight Cancer Institute’s Community Partnership Program to conduct an assessment of local cancer patients to identify cancer-related needs and barriers to care.

Cancer patients who are currently undergoing, or who have undergone, cancer treatment (chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, hormone therapy) while living in Harney County are encouraged to take the survey. The goal is to better understand and identify barriers that Harney County cancer patients face while undergoing treatment.

You can find the survey online at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/harneycountycancerneeds

Paper copies of the survey will also be available at the HDH Infusion Clinic, HDH Family Care Clinic, NewSun Energy & Harney District Hospital Specialty Care Clinic, Harney County Health Department, and Wadatika Health Clinic (on the Burns Paiute Reservation).

For questions or help filling out this survey, call Stefanie Wiseman at 541-573-8614 or email snwiseman@harneydh.com.

The survey will be open from June 1 to Aug. 13, 2021.
