Darbie Kemper, RN, Surgery/Infusion Nurse
Darbie has been a nurse at Harney District Hospital since 2005. Her current position is in the surgery department and infusion clinic.
“I’ve known I wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember. My mom still has a letter I wrote in second grade saying that I wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. It’s something I’ve always been passionate about — I love taking care of people and feeling like I’m helping.”
“I was born and raised in Harney County, went to school in La Grande and got my degree, and then lived in Portland for a couple of years. I was happy to come back to Eastern Oregon where the sun shines. Harney County is a great place to raise a family.”
Darbie said she enjoys patient care, getting to help and comfort families of patients in surgery, and having the opportunity to talk with and get to know patients going through treatment in the infusion clinic.
