17 Oct From Dan’s Desk — News from the Board
And just like that, autumn is upon us! Among the many things that summer brought us this year were a few changes to the Harney County Health District Board of Directors.
First, I’d like to welcome the newest member of the Board, Rob Frank. Rob originally came to Harney County in 2005 to teach agriculture at Crane Union High School. He now builds custom saddles and works for local ranches, while raising a family. He also serves on the Harney County Planning Commission.
I’d also like to acknowledge Rhonda Karges for her two years of service on the Board. Being a board member of a local health district is a challenging and time-consuming role – please join me in thanking Rhonda for all of her hard work.
In addition to welcoming a new board member, our continuing board members have shifted roles. Sharon Davis is our new board chair replacing Dan Brown. Kaeko Blackburn is the new treasurer and Ann Vloedman is our new secretary. Congratulations to these new leaders, and a big thank you to Dan Brown, Susan Doverspike and Shana Withee for your past leadership.
The community is always invited and encouraged to attend the public portions of district meetings. Meetings are normally held the fourth Wednesday of each month in the board conference room on the lower level of the hospital. See our Board of Directors page for more information.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy fall season,
Dan Grigg, CEO
