Remodeling projects are under way

Remodeling projects are under way at Harney District Hospital (HDH) Family Care clinic to add work stations for medical assistants, provide needed updates, and enhance the overall environment for patients and staff. The HDH pharmacy is also being remodeled to ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy requirements, improve safe handling of high-risk medications, and enable HDH to continue providing chemo-therapy services in an environment where medication preparation will be safer for patients and staff.

Both projects will be completed in phases to minimize disruption. The construction crew is working closely with HDH staff to ensure that daily operations can proceed as smoothly as possible while maintaining staff and patient safety.

Each phase of the three-part clinic remodel is expected to take approximately four weeks, and the overall project is expected to wrap up around April. The pharmacy remodel is expected to conclude in approximately three months.

The bulk of the construction work will take place Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Patients will continue to have access to all clinical services throughout the remodeling process. However, patients may experience delays when scheduling appointments with the clinic. Construction should not impact imaging appointments, inpatients, or the emergency room.

Harney District Hospital appreciates your consideration and cooperation as we improve our facilities to better serve you.
