24 Apr Trail of Hope 5K Run/Walk
CAN Cancer’s annual Trail of Hope 5K Run and Walk will be held Saturday, May 13, starting at the Hines Park pavilion.
The Trail of Hope 5K Run & Walk was established in 2008 by Callianne Fisher, for her senior project, to raise breast cancer awareness in Harney County. Since then, the event broadened its scope to promote awareness of all types of cancer.
The goal of this 5K (3.1 mile) run and walk is to increase awareness of cancer in our community and promote better health, while also providing financial support for local cancer patients.
Registration starts at 8 a.m., and the runners will start the race at 9:30 a.m., with walkers following. It is $25 per individual, with a family rate of $60.
