Deciding to do what you love in Harney County isn't just choosing a new job. It's choosing a new and different life! That's because Harney County isn't just another place to practice medicine.

Harney District Hospital offers modern facilities (our new facility opened June 2007), state of the art equipment and progressive information/communication systems. Our clinical staff come from all across the United States, drawn by these 'work-related' amenities. Even more important, staff members consistently note their ability to actually connect with their patients...no 'assembly-line' practice here! But there is so much more!!

Steens Mountain

Ask yourself...
* Are you spending more time commuting in your car than with your family?
* Are you wasting too much of your weekend trying to 'get away' for the weekend?
* Are you rushing home (which looks like every 4th house in a sprawling suburban development) so you can drive another 45 minutes to your child's soccer practice?

Shouldn't there be more???

Imagine work commutes of 10 minutes or less, beautiful wide-open spaces, recreational opportunities just down the road and a true feeling of community not found in suburban culture. Imagine actually knowing your patients; as parents of your child's classmates, as civic leaders, as the person who sits next to you at high school basketball games. Imagine being part of a community which welcomes your talents and makes it easy to get involved.
