Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Description:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker to work in Family Care Clinic and Mental Health settings to help serve mental health needs in Harney County. Work with professional primary care physicians and mental health department staff.

Assist in problem solving issues related to health care system, financial and psychosocial barriers. Coordinate meetings for interdisciplinary group and participate in measuring outcomes and effectiveness of care.

Hours/Days: Full Time
Salary:

$27.00 - $36.30/hour DOE

Qualifications:

Must be licensed in the State of Oregon or have the ability to achieve license within 30 days.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Broad knowledge of principles and practices of mental health care coordination. Excellent time management and work planning skills. Knowledge of mental health or social work related fields and the integration with physical health. Any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates ability to perform duties in full job description.

EMT-Basic

Description:

To provide pre-hospital care and transportation of sick or injured persons to medical facility, working as a member of the emergency medical team.  Provide in-hospital care within scope and protocol of certification.  For a complete copy of the job description, contact the Human Resources department. and attend regular EMS meetings.

Hours/Days: Part-Time. Hours and days will include weekends, evenings, nights and holidays as staffing needs require.
Salary:

$11.93 - $16.03/hour

Qualifications:

Possession of current EMT-B certificate issued by the State of Oregon or ability to acquire by the time of appointment.  Possession of Basic Trauma Life Support or equivalent within 6 months of appointment.  Possession of a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.

Respiratory Therapist

Description:

Administer the full range of respiratory care services including cardiac diagnostics to adult, pediatric and infant patients.  Attend OB deliveries as needed.  Rotate call with other therapist in department.  Assist in Pulmonary Rehab. clinic operations.

$21.81 - $29.29/hour, RRT additional $2/hour

Qualifications:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.  Registered RT preferred.  Registry eligible candidates will be considered.
  • Must possess a Respiratory Care Practitioner credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care and must possess and maintain a current Respiratory Care Practitioner Oregon State License.
  • Must have a current Basic Life Support card.
  • Must obtain a neonatal resuscitation certificate before attending deliveries.

Prefer the following: Possession of Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, neonatal resuscitation certificate, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support cards.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Description:

Provide professional anesthesia care primarily within the Surgical Services Department and throughout various hospital departments to include such services as general anesthesia, regional, spinal, epidural, conscious sedation and pain management procedures.

Administer various types of Anesthesia, including pre- and post-operative care and maintenance /operation of anesthesia department.  Provide direct patient care, evaluate patient changes/outcomes, consult with other specialists and caregivers as required and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.  Provide 24/7/365 anesthesia coverage for surgical, emergency room, obstetrical and pain management patients, including selecting the appropriate form of anesthesia administration and providing continuity of care.

Hours/Days: Full Time, 2 weeks on/off.
Salary:

$66.00 - $88.70/hour

Qualifications: Possession of a current Registered Nurse license within the State of Oregon, or ability to acquire by the time of appointment.  Possession of a current C.R.N.A. license within the State of Oregon, or ability to acquire by the time of appointment.  Current licensing or re-certification from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Current B.L.S, A.C.L.S., P.A.L.S. and N.R.P. certificates.  TNCC or TEAM within one (1) year of appointment. Possession of valid CPR card. Experience in a Critical Access Hospital OR preferred.

Medical Assistant

Description:

Prepare patients for examinations, retrieve and update patient records and under the supervision of the medical provider assist in care of the patient.  Provide direct patient service by checking in patients, assisting patients in the exam room, recording vitals and updating medical histories and medication records.

$11.93 - $16.03/hour, $1/hour if CMA or CNA.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of medical office procedures and methods, including general knowledge of medications and drug classifications.  General knowledge of English, grammar, spelling, mathematics, medical terminology and health computer application. Understanding of confidentiality concepts and requirements. Ability to communicate effectively with the healthcare professionals and public. Equivalent to a high school education.

CMA or CNA Certification or ability to achieve in a reasonable amount of time or a minimum of 3 years medical office experience providing direct patient care.

Surgical Tech

Description:

Assist with surgical procedures; handle all sterile instruments; participate in sponge/ instrument counts and the dressing of wounds.  Assist the surgeon as directed; aids the circulating nurses with duties related to the care of the patient while in the operating room.  Assist with endoscopic procedures.  Assist with the proper preparation and disposition of specimens.  Assist with adequate preparation of the operating room for surgery.  Participates in the decontamination and reprocessing of surgical instruments and endoscopic equipment.

Hours/Days: Full time
Salary:

$16.60 - $22.30/hour, Certified + $2.00/hour

Qualifications:

Two years experience as operating room technician in an acute care multi-disciplinary facility or Ambulatory Surgery Center within the past three years.  Combined training and experience that resulted in learning basic techniques required in performing operating room technician duties with emphasis in general and laparoscopic surgery.  Must have knowledge and demonstrate the principles of acceptable practices of surgical asepsis.  Must have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology and the pathological processes.  Possess basic knowledge of operative procedures, ability to operate sterilizers and all equipment used in the operating room.  Candidate must participate in teaching.  High school diploma or equivalent.  Basic Life Support certification required.  Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description:
  • Post daily receipt of payments to be current within 2 days of receipt of payment folder.
  • Verify correct patient or payer are credited with payments.  Assure account adjustments balance with amounts received. Follow up with insurance companies on all discrepancies and non-payments while posting from EOB’s. 
  • Correct and update payment data as needed to keep files up-to-date on financial class, insurance information and demographics. 
  • Post electronic payments as received through Paragon.  Review overpayments to transfer to other accounts or give to Business Office Supervisor for refunding.
  • Post collection agency payments and work with Patient Financial Counselor to be sure all payments and adjustments are correct.
Perform accounts receivable procedures to comply with federal and state regulations, hospital policy, and third party payer requirements.
Hours/Days: Part Time

$13.48 - $18.13/hour

Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies, staff and customers both orally and in writing. Description:

Prepare a variety of hot and cold drinks in the Family Care Coffee Bar.  Responsibilities include waiting on visitors, guests and staff providing drinks in accordance with food safety standards, managing cash sales and tracking internal charges. Qualifications:

Mandatory Requirements: Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques and food safety requirements, good personal hygiene practices, general record keeping methods, ability to read and write in English language and understand basic mathematics.  Equivalent to a high school education, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.

Harney District Hospital (HDH) has a history of pursuing leading edge projects.  Innovation at HDH ranges from installing a wood pellet heating system in the new facility (saving tens of thousands of dollars in heating costs) to developing physician coverage models for Emergency and Surgery.  With the new hospital facility and a staff skilled and growing, HDH is expanding to include an appropriate range of procedures and services which encourage patients to seek care at home. 

Currently, people make a 130 mile drive for various surgical services; then drive another 130 miles back home to Harney County.  This is not the best care we can give, nor is it the healthiest option for the patient. Anyone in the health care field is aware of the alarming possibility of readmission after surgery.
